Artist of the Month - AUGUST
Bonnie Collura is Thursday Print Co.'s featured artist for August 2026!! Collura is an award-winning artist and educator whose mixed media sculptures have contributed to the dialogue contemporary art across the globe. Her work investigates the body as a corporal, social, and spiritual entity. At times, the body is sculpted as a figurative portrait. Other times, abstraction is used to present the body as a spatial form. In social works, people who perceive the world differently are pulled together to redefine visualization. In all approaches, preconvention of wholeness morph between vulnerability and uprise to render a body in-between: physical towards metaphysical, virtual towards tangible; individualistic towards communal. madisyn simington is thursday print co.'s artist of the month for september 2026. all postcard club subscription orders that are placed between august 7 – september 7 will receive madisyn's edition.
madisyn simington is the owner and operator of thursday print co. she earned a bachelor’s in Visual Art Studies from Penn State’s Altoona campus in 2022 and a master’s in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from Penn State University in 2024. her work primarily explores grief processes and rituals as they are rooted in family structures, particularly within matrilineal systems. simington expresses these themes through photography, installation, performance, and written word. her poetry has been published by the Modern Language Association and the University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor’s International Poetry Prize Anthology. her photograph we had the same lace curtains will be on view in Penn State’s Old Main building through 2028.
