madisyn simington is the owner and operator of. thursday print co. she earned a bachelor's in Visual Art Studies from Penn State's Altoona campus in 2022 and a master's in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography from Penn State University in 2024. her work primarily explores grief processes and rituals as they are rooted in family structures, particularly within matrilineal systems. simington expresses these themes through photography, installation, performance, and written word. her poetry has been published by the Modern Language Association and the University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor's International Poetry Prize Anthology. her photograph we had the same lace curtains will be on view in Penn State's Old Main building through 2028.
